The Call

“A call from a serial killer... She'll begin to hunt your past.”

Seo-yeon (Park Shin-hye) comes back to her childhood home and finds an old phone that connects her to Young-sook (Jeon Jong-seo), a woman living in the same house twenty years earlier. Lee Chung-hyun starts them off as strangers trading small talk across two decades, until each learns the other can reach into her life and change it. The idea underneath is plain: whatever a person does in one year, someone else has to live with in the next.
