“When the butcher goes berserk....”

Marcos (Vicente Parra) works as a butcher in Madrid, and what he wants is a quiet life with his girlfriend Paula (Emma Cohen). Then a taxi driver dies by his hand, and every person who might ask about it becomes a danger he has to deal with. Eloy de la Iglesia keeps the story in cramped rooms and a slaughterhouse, and what it shows plainly is how one frightened secret can turn a whole family into a hiding place.
