“It's not the hills.”

Los Angeles in 2013, and Christian (James Deen) is a young trust-fund producer financing a small film while keeping a tight grip on his girlfriend Tara (Lindsay Lohan). When he learns she has been seeing Ryan (Nolan Gerard Funk), the actor cast in that film, the affair sets off a violent unraveling. Paul Schrader, working from a Bret Easton Ellis script, leaves the city's empty, sunlit screening rooms and glass interiors looking as cold as the people in them.
