The Case Is Closed, Forget It

Vanzi (Franco Nero) is a successful architect, held on suspicion of a hit and run and put in prison to wait for a trial or a release. Inside he sees corrupt guards, corrupt inmates and a judicial system that treats men as numbers, with the Mafia holding real power over the wing. Damiano Damiani shoots the cells and corridors in grainy, close light, so the walls seem to press in on Vanzi.
