The Castle of Sand

In 1974 Tokyo, an old man is found bludgeoned to death in a rail yard, and two detectives are handed the case. Yoshitarō Nomura follows Eitaro Imanishi (Tetsuro Tamba) and the younger Hiroshi Yoshimura (Kensaku Morita) as they trace a trail with almost nothing to hold. Imanishi keeps going long after the file should have closed, and what he stands to lose is his own peace.
