The Cat

Probek (Götz George) wants 3 million German marks, and he has put two men inside a bank to take it, holding the clerks hostage while the demand goes out to the police. Dominik Graf keeps the story in the cramped bank and in the watching eyes outside it, where someone follows every move the police make before they make it. The tension comes from how little the police actually know.
