The Cave of the Golden Rose

In a kingdom where the queen has just died, the grieving king leaves his newborn daughter in a cave, and a witch carries her out. Years later Fantaghirò (Alessandra Martines) is a tomboy princess, the king (Mario Adorf) is at war with a neighboring ruler, and Lamberto Bava stages it all as a fairy tale. What she stands to lose is her father's kingdom, and with it the enemy king she is meant to face.
