The Challenge

Thoracic surgeon Evgenia Belyaeva (Yulia Peresild) is given one month to train for a flight to the International Space Station, where a cosmonaut (Miloš Biković) needs an operation that cannot wait for a return to Earth. Klim Shipenko shot the film on the station itself, with real cosmonauts including Anton Shkaplerov in the cast alongside the actors. It is a story about fear and the doubt a person carries into work no one has done before.
