The Chaplin Revue
Why would a man put out a film in 1959 made of pictures he shot decades earlier? Charlie Chaplin strings together A Dog's Life, Shoulder Arms and The Pilgrim, three silent comedies built around the Tramp, and he speaks to us himself, introducing each one. He gives the old reels a new score, narration and a few added scenes, and the whole thing runs as a single feature.
