“Getting there is twice the fun.”

In 1994 California, convicted man Jackson Hammond (Charlie Sheen) breaks out of prison and grabs a hostage, Natalie Voss (Kristy Swanson), taking her car to outrun the police. She turns out to be the daughter of one of the richest men in the state, and Adam Rifkin puts the pursuit on live television. Every channel carries the chase, and the news treats a man running for his freedom as the evening's entertainment.
