The Child in Time

A supermarket on an ordinary afternoon is where Stephen Lewis (Benedict Cumberbatch), a writer of children's books, loses his four-year-old daughter Kate. Julian Farino follows the years after, as Stephen and his wife Julie (Kelly Macdonald) each carry the grief into a different silence. The marriage is what is left to lose, and each year without Kate pulls the two of them further apart.
