The Children Act
“We all make choices. Hers make history.”
In London, High Court judge Fiona Maye (Emma Thompson) spends her days ruling on the fates of other people's children, while at home her marriage to Jack (Stanley Tucci) has come apart. A new case arrives: Adam Henry (Fionn Whitehead), a seventeen-year-old with leukemia, and parents who refuse the blood transfusion that would save him. Richard Eyre follows Fiona as the decision falls to her alone, in a house where nobody is talking to her.
