“Santa's in town early this year.”

Kate Pierce (Darby Camp) wants to catch Santa Claus on camera this Christmas Eve, partly to prove he's real and partly to hold onto a family that's coming apart since her father died. She and her older brother Teddy (Judah Lewis) hide in the living room with a video camera, and the sleigh comes down hard. Clay Kaytis gives Kurt Russell's Santa the run of the film, a big, bearded, wisecracking man in a red suit.
