The Chronology of Water

“It takes many miles to swim to a self.”

Lidia Yuknavitch (Imogen Poots) grows up in a house where the water in the pool is the only place she can get away from her father. She swims competitively, then drinks and takes lovers, and later writes, with Ken Kesey (Jim Belushi) among the people around her. Kristen Stewart, in her first feature as director, ends on Lidia with a pen, the page in front of her blank.
