The Chumscrubber

“Meet Generation Rx.”

Dean (Jamie Bell) finds his friend Troy dead, and he keeps it to himself, sure the adults in his upper-class suburb are too busy with their own lives to care. Everyone around him is on drugs just to get through the day, and Troy was the one who sold them. Arie Posin plays the town as a deadpan comedy, with Glenn Close among the parents and a quiet sadness running under every lawn and kitchen.
