The Climb

In La Courneuve, a housing-estate suburb north of Paris, Samy Diakhaté (Ahmed Sylla) is still stuck on Nadia (Alice Belaïdi), a childhood friend who has stopped answering him. Ludovic Bernard follows him as he decides, on a bet and a lot of stubbornness, to climb Mount Everest, with a guide named Jeff (Nicolas Wanczycki) and no real experience. It's based on the true story of Nadir Dendoune, and the film is about how far a person will go to be seen.
