The Clowns
Federico Fellini takes his film crew from Italy to Paris, looking for the last of the great European clowns. The search starts with a boy's memory of the circus tent that went up near his home, and along the way he runs into Anita Ekberg, who is trying to buy a panther. The old performers (Riccardo Billi, Gigi Reder, Tino Scotti) are treated as the people who carried a way of making an audience laugh that is close to gone.
