The Coast Guard

“There is a line that cannot be crossed.”

A figure is moving on the beach at night, and the men of Coast Guard Platoon 23 have been told to treat anything that moves as an enemy. Private Kang (Jang Dong-gun) patrols the barbed-wire fence on this high-infiltration stretch, believing that killing a spy is the highest honor a soldier can earn. Kim Ki-duk puts him beside Private Kim (Kim Jung-hak), the one man who shares his post and sees him most clearly.
