The Color of Money

(1986)Directed by Martin Scorsese119 min · RDrama
“The Hustler isn't what he used to be. But he has the next best thing. A kid who is.”

Eddie Felson (Paul Newman) was once the best hustler in the pool halls, and now he sells liquor and stays away from the table. Then he sees Vincent Lauria (Tom Cruise), a green kid with a natural stroke, and offers to take him on the road. Martin Scorsese follows the pair through the pool halls as Eddie teaches the cons that pay, and what he's really chasing is the old feeling of being good at the game.
