The Colossus of Rhodes

Darios (Rory Calhoun), an Athenian war hero, comes to Rhodes on holiday and finds the island already crowded with secrets: Rhodian patriots working against the king, and Phoenician agents working against everyone else. Sergio Leone, in his first feature as director, sets the intrigue under the giant bronze statue that dominates the harbor. Each side wants Darios for its own cause, and a man who came to rest has to decide whom he can trust.
