Lorna (Patricia Granada) is a superstitious servant girl who dreams of a naked man on horseback and wakes certain the dreams are warnings. She comes to live with Triana (Lidia Zuazo), a solitary woman who paints in her country chateau, and Triana takes the girl under her wing. José Ramón Larraz shoots their growing closeness in slow, grainy takes, letting the quiet of the house press in.
