The Common Man
Tension is building at Loulou's campsite, and nobody there will say it plainly. Georges Lajoie (Jean Carmet), a Parisian café owner, arrives for the usual summer with his wife and son, the bailiff's family and the bra seller's family pitched nearby. A construction site next door brings foreign workers, and the remarks start. Yves Boisset keeps the camera on ordinary holidaymakers and lets the grain of the film do the rest.
