The Conjugal Bed

“It's all about brides who discover their hidden talents!”

Alfonso (Ugo Tognazzi), a forty-year-old employee, marries Regina (Marina Vlady), a girl who seems quiet and easy to please. After the wedding she turns into a mantis, and the marriage starts to read like a hunt. Marco Ferreri keeps the tone deadpan, and the film follows the marriage as one person's appetite meets the other's slow wearing down.
