The Connection

(1962)Directed by Shirley Clarke103 minDrama
“Men Held Captive By the Power Of Drugs”

In a New York apartment, eight drug addicts sit around waiting for their connection to arrive. Leach (Warren Finnerty) has let a two-man documentary crew in to film the wait, and Shirley Clarke keeps their camera running as the men get more nervous. Between the cameraman, who never stops recording, and the men who forget to perform for him, the film turns on who is watching whom.
