The Constant Gardener

“Love. At any cost.”

Tessa Quayle (Rachel Weisz), an activist and the wife of a British diplomat in Kenya, is found dead, and no one will say plainly why. Her husband Justin (Ralph Fiennes), a quiet civil servant who has kept his head down for years, starts asking questions that his own government would rather he left alone. Fernando Meirelles cuts between the investigation and the marriage, and the question underneath is what a person owes to someone else's cause.
