“A love story about hate”

In a Croatian apartment building, four neighbors pass each other on the stairs without a word. Vjekoslav Kralj (Nebojša Glogovac) and Ante Samardžić (Dejan Aćimović) live under one roof but belong to different worlds of faith, nationality and sexuality, and misfortune pushes them into each other's lives. Rajko Grlić sets their deepest-held prejudices against the plain need to lean on whoever lives next door.
