The Contract

“Every killer meets his equal.”

Ray (John Cusack), a former lawman turned teacher, wants nothing more than a quiet hiking trip in the woods with his young son, a way to mend the family after a recent trauma. Then they stumble across Frank Carden (Morgan Freeman), a professional assassin on a job, and Bruce Beresford puts the two men on the same trail. The boy watches his father and a killer size each other up, and the film turns on what each man will do to protect his own.
