The Corporal and the Others

Corporal Molnár (Imre Sinkovits) has decided that his war is over, and he carries a good deal of money hidden inside his hand grenades. He makes for an abandoned mansion, where a sour butler meets him at the door and a handful of other men who have also walked off their duties turn up one by one. Keleti keeps the ensemble moving at a brisk, deadpan clip, giving each deserter his own small piece of the house.
