The Count of Monte Cristo

“This is not vengeance, this is justice.”

Edmond Dantès (Pierre Niney) is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit, and he is taken to the island prison of Château d'If. Fourteen years later he escapes, rich beyond anything he once imagined, and returns as the Count of Monte-Cristo to find the three men who betrayed him. Directors Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte follow what a man does with fourteen years of anger and a fortune to spend it.
