The Counterfeit Coin

In 1955 Athens, one counterfeit gold sovereign passes from hand to hand through four separate stories. An honest engraver forges it after a young widow turns his head, and it then reaches a beggar (Mimis Fotopoulos), a prostitute, a wealthy miser and a newlywed painter's household. Yorgos Tzavellas follows the coin, but Anargyros Loumbardopoulos (Vasilis Logothetidis) is the one who has to live with what it buys him.
