The Counterfeiters of Paris

Ferdinand Maréchal (Jean Gabin), known as le Dabe, was once the king of the counterfeiters and now keeps stables and horses in the Tropics. A call from Paris offers him one more job, and he refuses, until he hears the currency is the Dutch florin, the same note that burned him once before. Grangier sends him back to Paris to work with a gang he can't fully trust, and Maréchal's pride and his fortune are both on the table.
