The County

Nobody in the valley will say why the farmers all buy from the same cooperative, or why none of them can ever get out of debt to it. Inga (Arndís Hrönn Egilsdóttir), a widowed farmer left alone with the land, starts asking, and the people she has known for years stop meeting her eye. Grímur Hákonarson keeps it small and plain, and what's at stake is whether one person's refusal can hold against a whole community's silence.
