The Cousins

In 1959 Paris, the shy provincial Charles (Gérard Blain) moves in with his cousin Paul (Jean-Claude Brialy) to study law. Paul lives for parties and late nights, and he drags Charles into them whether Charles wants to go or not, until Charles falls for Florence (Juliette Mayniel), a woman from Paul's circle. Claude Chabrol sets the two cousins against each other, one who works and one who plays, and the bond between them begins to strain.
