The Crazy Stranger

Stéphane (Romain Duris) is a young man traveling to Romania with a cassette tape of a singer he heard once and can't forget. Tony Gatlif sets him down in the village of Crețulești, outside Bucharest, among Romani families whose music is part of daily life. Stéphane follows the tape toward the singer, among them Sabrina (Rona Hartner), Izidor (Izidor Serban) and Angela (Angela Serban), while the cassette plays on.
