The Crimson Kimono

(1959)Directed by Samuel Fuller82 minRomance, Drama, Crime
“YES, this is a beautiful American girl in the arms of a Japanese boy!”

Detective Joe Kojaku (James Shigeta) works homicide in Los Angeles and shares his cases, and his apartment, with his partner Charlie Bancroft (Glenn Corbett). The two are put on the killing of a burlesque dancer in the city's Japanese district, and the hunt sends them to Christine Downs (Victoria Shaw). Samuel Fuller sets the friendship between the two men against the case, and each step toward the killer puts it under more strain.
