“The journey begins.”

The ground under the Croods is failing, and only a stranger seems to know it. Grug (Nicolas Cage) keeps his family in a cave at night and out foraging by day. Then Guy (Ryan Reynolds) turns up, and Eep (Emma Stone) follows him while Grug stays suspicious. Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders play the family's squabbling for laughs, with Gran (Cloris Leachman) in the thick of it.
