The Crossing Guard

“...some lives cross, others collide.”

Freddy Gale (Jack Nicholson) has spent more than five years going through the motions since his daughter died in a car accident, and the day John Booth (David Morse) is released from prison, he starts counting down to killing him. Sean Penn writes and directs the long wait between that vow and the meeting, with Anjelica Huston as Mary, Freddy's former wife. Freddy sits alone with the drink in front of him, holding on to the promise he made.
