The Crowd

(1928)Directed by King Vidor98 minDrama, Romance
“A Motion Picture with a stirring message on Marriage! A Powerful Film, full of truths of life and love!”

John Sims (James Murray) is sure he is meant for a bigger life than a desk in a New York office. Then he meets Mary (Eleanor Boardman), marries her, and they start a family with money that never quite stretches. King Vidor sets their small household against the crowds of the city, and every setback and tragedy that comes calls into question whether John's ambition will hold their marriage together.
