The Crush

“He thought it was just a crush. He was dead wrong.”

Nick Eliot (Cary Elwes) is a writer who moves to a new city for a magazine job and rents the guesthouse behind the home of the Forrester family. Their teenage daughter Adrian (Alicia Silverstone) makes her interest in him clear almost at once, and Nick keeps trying to turn her away politely. Alan Shapiro, in his debut as director, keeps the camera close on that small property, where each attempt to refuse her seems to tighten the hold she has on the place.
