The Crying Woman

(1933)Directed by Ramón Peón73 minHorror, Mystery

In modern Mexico, Dr. Ricardo de Acuna (Ramón Pereda) and his wife Ana Maria (Virginia Zurí) are a family living under a shadow, one tied to the abandoned mothers of their ancestors' past. A malevolent spirit has marked their son, and a possessed intruder comes for him. Ramón Peón made the first Mexican horror film with sound, and he uses that new voice to carry the dread.
