The Curse of the Crying Woman

“She was beautiful, desirable, and not altogether human...”

Amelia (Rosita Arenas) travels with her husband Jaime (Abel Salazar) to the old country house of her aunt Selma (Rita Macedo), a woman who practices black magic. Almost from the first night, the mansion seems to be listening, and Selma has plans for her niece involving an ancient specter called la llorona. Rafael Baledón keeps the camera in the dim corridors, close to Amelia, and lets the quiet do the frightening.
