The Cursed

“Innocence will fall prey.”

John McBride (Boyd Holbrook), a pathologist, arrives in a rural French village in the late 19th century to learn what has been killing its people. Seamus Laurent (Alistair Petrie), the landowner, has driven off a Roma clan, and since then the villagers have not slept well, and his son has vanished. Sean Ellis films the woods and the night as places the locals have stopped trusting, while McBride keeps cutting open what they would rather bury.
