Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), a symbologist at Harvard, wants to understand a murder at the Louvre: a cryptic code left at the body of a murdered curator. Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), a police cryptographer, pulls him into a chase through Paris and beyond, each clue deeper than the last. As the investigation widens and the stakes climb, Langdon and Sophie become the only two people who trust each other.
