“I want us to be brothers again, like we used to be.”

Francis (Owen Wilson) wants his brothers back, so he books the three of them onto a train across India and hands out an itinerary for a spiritual journey. Peter (Adrien Brody) and Jack (Jason Schwartzman) have not spoken to him or each other in a year, and they board carrying painkillers, cough syrup and pepper spray. Anderson's story is about brothers trying to be close again without knowing how.
