“The legend ends.”

Eight years after Harvey Dent's death, Gotham has kept its peace on a lie, and Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) has stayed out of sight since taking the blame for Dent's crimes. Then Bane (Tom Hardy), a masked terrorist leader, overwhelms the city's police, and Christopher Nolan has Bruce pull the cowl back on for a town that still hunts him. Bruce keeps one wary eye on Selina (Anne Hathaway), a thief who is useful to him and not yet trusted.
