The Dark Side of the Heart

Oliverio (Darío Grandinetti) is a poet in Buenos Aires who sometimes trades a poem for a steak and sometimes sells his ideas to an advertising agency to cover the rent. He is looking for a woman with whom lovemaking lifts the two of them off the ground, and in Montevideo he meets Ana (Sandra Ballesteros), a prostitute. Eliseo Subiela follows the poet's hunger for a love that rises above money, set against the days he has to work to afford her.
