The Dark Valley

In the Alps in the late nineteenth century, a lone rider named Greider (Sam Riley) comes down into a remote lumber village and asks for a room for the winter. He says he is a photographer, and the Brenner clan, led by Hans Brenner (Tobias Moretti), rules the place and everyone in it. Andreas Prochaska shapes the film as a Western in the snow, where power held by one family keeps a whole village afraid.
