The Day Will Come

“Some have power, others have bravery.”

In 1960s Denmark, brothers Elmer (Harald Kaiser Hermann) and Erik (Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt) are placed in a boys' home, a world the decade's bright promise has passed by. Headmaster Heck (Lars Mikkelsen) runs it with a tyranny the boys can meet only with imagination and a stubborn, fragile hope. Jesper W. Nielsen, working from true events, keeps the camera close on Elmer and Erik, two small boys against the headmaster's grown shadow.
