The Dead and the Others

Ihjãc (Henrique Ihjãc Krahô) has been called to become a shaman for his Krahô people, and he wants no part of it. He leaves the village for the city, where he has to live as an indigenous man in contemporary Brazil. Renée Nader Messora and João Salaviza cast the Krahô as versions of themselves, and Ihjãc carries the weight of that unanswered duty everywhere he goes.
