The Dead Zone

“In his mind, he has the power to see the future. In his hands, he has the power to change it.”

It is a snowbound Maine town in the early 1970s, and Johnny Smith (Christopher Walken), a schoolteacher, leaves his fiancée Sarah (Brooke Adams) one night and wakes up five years later. His fiancée has moved on, and a touch of someone's hand now shows him their past and their future. David Cronenberg keeps the pace slow and the winter light flat, so the dread builds quietly.
